Available Jindo x:  Chaz

Chaz is a two year old white male Jindo mix living in Sherman Oaks, CA. He weighs about 49 pounds, is neutered and current on vaccines.

He is in foster care after being in one of the shelters in the area.

He does well with other dogs but it is unknown how he is with cats. It is also unknown how he is with children and will not be placed in a home with children. He will jump up on people because he is excited but he doesn't show any aggression towards strangers while I am around.

Chaz enjoys retrieving tennis balls and playing tag with other dogs at the dog park. He LOVES playing with other dogs and is very affectionate towards people when he is calm. He gives kisses and will stay by his owner’s side at all times if possible. He also doesn't engage in fights with other dogs and will back down if confronted.

He knows how to sit and stay. Chaz enjoys taking daily walks and his new owner should be able to provide that for him. Please note that Jindos are not reliable off leash and must be walked on leash at all times.

Chaz is an indoor dog and is house trained. Dogs are pack animals and prefer to live inside with their family members. Caution must be taken around doors since Jindos do have a tendency to door bolt especially in new environments which is typical for the breed.

Chaz has shown that he has some resource guarding issues and has bitten two people due to this. He is absolutely wonderful in every other way but this is an issue that would need to be worked on with positive reinforcement training by a new owner.

Please complete an application and mention Chaz in the comments section if you can provide a loving and appropriate home. Home visit and vet references required. Adoption fee $150. Loving homes only who are looking for a companion.
