Available Jindo x:  Brooklyn

Brooklyn is a one year old red, female Jindo mix who lives in Pasadena, CA. She is spayed and current on vaccinations. She weighs about 40 pounds.

Unfortunately, the owner does not have time for Brooklyn due to increased work hours.

Brooklyn will get along with male and female dogs if properly socialized.  She does behave in a domineering manner with other dogs. Brooklyn should be placed as an only dog or possibly with a nondominant male. Brooklyn does not do well with cats and should not live in a home with cats.

Brooklyn does not live with children and should not be placed in a home with children under 10 years old. She gets along with respectful children with supervision. Please note all children must be supervised by parents when interacting with dogs. Brooklyn gets along with respectful, mature teenagers with a proper introduction. As with most Jindos, she is not overly friendly with strangers, and might bark at first but will tolerate a pet after proper introduction. She prefers to approach them when she is ready and will calm down quickly.

Brooklyn loves going for walks and  running.  Jindos must be walked on leash at all times since they are not reliable off leash.

She loves her rubber squeaky toys, likes to play fetch with tennis balls and she really enjoys pulling games with a rope. When her owner comes home, she loves to go get her ball and play with her owner.  She gets very excited about playing.  She can be very sweet and loves licking people's toes.

Brooklyn knows sit, down, and crawl with hand cues and treats.  Her recall response is about 75% successful.  She needs an owner that can continue her behavior training.  She pulls on her leash during walks and gets excited when she sees other dogs.

She is a very smart dog and learns quickly.  She needs to be with an owner that has lots of time to spend with her.  She currently does not live with another dog, but gets along well with her dog buddies.

Brooklyn is an indoor dog who is used to living indoors with her family. Dogs are pack animals and prefer to live inside with their family members. She is housetrained and is well behaved in the house. She has not chewed anything in the house in the last three months. Caution must be taken around doors since she has a tendency to door bolt. Additional training will help prevent this behavior. Brooklyn is also crate trained. She will sometimes dig if outside.
