Mai Tai is a two year old red, male Jindo who lives in Killeen , TX .  He is current on vaccinations and is heartworm negative.

Mai Tai was taken in by a kind person because his owner left him outside and didn’t interact with him.  Because of this he is unsure of the outside world and is a little scared.  He tries to be a part of the family but has some trust issues.  He needs a patient person who will work with him to build his confidence.

He does well with submissive male dogs and female dogs.  He does not do well with cats.  It is not known how he responds to small children and should not be placed in a home with children under 12 years old.  Please note all children must be supervised by parents when interacting with dogs.  Mai Tai gets along with respectful, mature teenagers and strangers with a proper introduction.  As with most Jindos, he is not overly friendly with strangers.  He prefers not to go near them.

Mai Tai likes to play with paper towels and paper.  He also enjoys spending time in the yard.  Jindos need a secure yard so they will not escape.  He may run away from loud noises.

He will sit in the bath with no problem and you have to talk to him nice to cut his nails.  He is fine if you are familiar with how to do this.

Outside of his house and yard he is afraid, so he is not good on the leash because of this.  He is fine in the house and in his yard.  He is house trained.  He knows his name, knows how to sit, lay down, sit up and paw.  He just needs more confidence and a patient person to help him feel secure.
