Mimzy is a 25 lb Jindo mix located in Culver City, CA. Mimzy is a sweet girl looking for her forever home. About two years ago, her owner cold-heartedly abandoned her in a vacant lot; fortunately the nice people of the neighborhood fed her and took care of her hoping to one day catch her and find her a home she deserved. Some people in the neighborhood weren’t so kind to her, and would throw rocks at her, yell at her, and chase her, causing her to not be very trusting when meeting new people. One day she finally followed a nice lady into her backyard, allowing her to actually pet her—she had not been touched in over two years.
Mimzy is a little scared of meeting new people, but she does gradually warm up after spending some time with them. She is most relaxed when in the company of other dogs and is not cat aggressive. Mimzy is a Jindo mix, very affectionate and loves to play. She is a little underweight and needs someone who has experience and patience to help her feel comfortable again. Small children might make her nervous and skittish, so a family with another friendly dog and a big yard is probably best for her since she is used to running free.
